As an opener, let's express our deepest gratitude to God for the development of the Perak State Central Forest Spine (CFS) Website in 2024. On this occasion, I would like to express my deepest appreciation and thanks to the committee involved directly or indirectly who have contributed ideas and services in producing this Perak State CFS Website.
As you already know, the National Physical Planning Council (MPFN) which convened for the 40th time on 20 July 2022 has basically approved the new Central Forest Spine Ecological Network Master Plan (PIRECFS) 2022 which contains 5 Objectives, 14 Strategies, 38 Actions and 228 Initiatives . The PIRECFS 2022 aims to connect the country's 8 main forest complexes involving 8 states, namely Kedah, Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang, Johor, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan and also Perak.
For Perak State, Perak State Planning Committee Meeting No. 1/2022 has approved by adopting PIRECFS 2022 at the State level on 22 February 2022. Accordingly, the Perak State Forestry Department (JPNPk) as one of the main implementing agencies for PIRECFS 2022 has mobilized activities to achieve the actions and initiatives targeted in PIRECFS 2022 including promoting Perak State CFS.
Development of the Perak State CFS Website is one of the actions parallel to Action 4.3a: Preparing the PIRECFS Promotion Plan. This website becomes one of the platforms for sharing information and raising public awareness of the importance of preserving, conserving and protecting forests, especially in the CFS ecological network in the State of Perak. The knowledge and awareness of the public is important to ensure that the efforts to preserve, conserve and protect the forest can continue. With the existence of this Perak State CFS website, the sharing of information between implementing agencies and supporting agencies as well as stakeholders will last and become a reference and guide for stakeholders.
